Eurocoms completed a full network installation for Paddy Power at their new Head Office in Dublin.
The network consisted of both Category 6 UTP and CAT6A UTP cables, with over 2,000 outlets installed in total. In addition, Eurocoms also installed 22 cabinets and over 30 fibre optic backbone links, both single mode and multimode with 1500 LC terminations.
The timescales on the project were extremely tight, which meant Eurocoms had to dedicate 14 full time engineers to the project with various requests to work weekends. In addition, with the site being in Dublin, there were various obstacles to overcome such as deliveries from the UK, travel and project management.
Eurocoms had overall responsibility for the finalised network point locations and quantities which was made complicated by there being more than one version of the drawings being issued – a client drawing and consultant drawing and lots of interior designer changes! Lots of cross referencing and CAD editing by our management team to ensure a smooth hand-over.
