Over the past 2 years, Eurocoms has been heavily involved in various infrastructure projects for the Regus Group of Companies.
Regus are one of the UK’s largest office space, co-working and virtual office providers with over 300 locations, 24,000+ private offices, 5,000 co-working desks and 1,100 meeting rooms.
Eurocoms produced clear and simple network schematics that were distributed to all parties involved to ensure each site progressed and was delivered correctly and on time. Eurocoms, on behalf of our customer, also liaised closely with the builders, BT, IT and network provider, amongst others to ensure all organisations involved were kept up to date on the design.
All works on were split into two distinct phases, a first fix was undertaken to ensure all cables were installed within the building structure allowing the builders to close up ceilings and floors and trunking solutions ready for hand over to the client.
The second phase was completed during the “Practical Completion” stage, working alongside the clients preferred IT supplier to connect and commission the network.
Eurocoms have installed over 15,000 Category 6 (CAT6) data outlets for Regus to date with further projects secured in 2021/22.
The cabling is typically installed under raised flooring on new containment to supply both floor boxes and GOP box positions. The cabling was also installed over ceiling on basket to supply wireless access points and TV positions.
Each site requires as a minimum 1 x CAT6 outlet per desk, with sites typically being anything from 100-2,000 desk size. Eurocoms supply, install, terminate and test the CAT6 cabling, backbone fibre optic cabling as well as supplying and installing servers and racks.
